How to choose an exercise bike

All our stock has been carefully selected for value, quality and manufacturer's after-sales service.
Pros Buying tips
  • Your best option if you are short of space.
  • No jarring - kind to knees, hips and back.
  • Good basic cardio workout - cyclists are very fit athletes!
  • Consider an upright if you are on a budget or short of space.
  • Consider a recumbent if you are overweight, have back, hip or knee problems or like to read and watch TV while excercising.
  • Entry-level models will give good service, but uprange models will be quieter, smoother, and offer more convenience and features.
  • If you are very fit, entry-level models may not provide sufficient challenge.
Cons
  • Can be a bit boring: requires motivation!
  • Doesn't offer the crosstraining benefits of an elliptical trainer.
